Windows XP Support Ends

WinXP

Finally after 12 years Microsoft is set to end support for Window XP. After 8th April 2014 Microsoft will no longer provide technical assistance for Windows XP.

There will be no further updates and Microsoft will also stop providing Microsoft Security Essentials downloads for Windows XP. If you already have Microsoft Security Essentials installed Microsoft will be providing updates for the software for a limited time. However, this does not mean your system is secure because Microsoft will not be providing security updates to protect Windows XP from any future security issues.

If you continue to use Windows XP after support ends, your computer will still work but it might become more vulnerable to security risks and viruses. Also, as more software and hardware manufacturers continue to develop for more recent versions of Windows there will most likely be greater compatibility issues with Windows XP.
