Could this be a leaked glance at the start menu of Windows 9 (now known to be Windows 10)?
It certainly looks the part – It’s very similar to the menu Microsoft showed at a recent conference, with a list of programs down the left hand side and tiles nearly arranged on the right.
Rumors suggest that the menu will only be available to desktop users, and they’ll be able to toggle the tiled part on or off.
It could be real – an early version of the forthcoming menu (it claims to be from Windows 9 build 9788) or it could be a simple fake mock up. If this is real, this looks like a good step that I believe will be popular amongst users.
It’s going to be sometime before we’ll know for sure how accurate this image is with Windows 9 having an expected release in Spring 2015.
